There’s a new coffee shop in Savannah, but it’s purpose and motivation goes way deeper than serving up caffeine.

“My husband and I have four kids and our two youngest, Bitty and Beau, who are 14 and 9, have Down syndrome,” said Amy Wright of Bitty & Beau’s Coffee, which employs and advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or IDD.

“We weren’t creating the shop to create jobs for them, but we were hoping to raise some awareness in our community about the need for employment for people with intellectual disabilities and just better our community that way.” Read More
